Taya Shere
Taya Shere is a practitioner of Ancestral Lineage Healing and has both trained and taught with Dr. Daniel Foor of Ancestral Medicine. She is also a practitioner of the body-awareness-based trauma-healing modality Somatic Experiencing. Taya co-founded and co-directs Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute and is the co-author of The Hebrew Priestess and the Hebrew Priestess Prayerbook. Her CD’s – Wild Earth Shebrew, Halleluyah All Night, Torah Tantrika & This Bliss – have been heralded as “cutting-edge, mystic medicine music.” She is co-leader of Makam Shekhina, a Jewish-Sufi spiritual community committed to counter-oppressive devotion, and serves as adjunct faculty at Starr King School for the Ministry, where she teaches ritual craft and multi-religious practice. Taya offers online courses open to all in embodied presence, ancestral healing and pleasure as prayer. She also mentors resonant individual students virtually and in the California East Bay.
